Sister of Mercy Joins Catholic Health Association Staff

Sister Mary Haddad, RSM, a Sister of Mercy, has been named Senior Director of Sponsor Services of the Catholic Health Association.

Among other roles, Sister Mary will be tasked with assessing the current experience of sponsors and religious communities within CHA's membership who sponsor health care ministries. Her goal will be to gauge their needs and to ensure CHA provides relevant resources and services.

Sister Mary has held various positions within Catholic health care and social service and is a former junior high school teacher and elementary school principal. She most recently served as an administrative fellow for Saint Anthony's Health System in Alton, Illinois. She previously served on the regional leadership team of the former St. Louis Regional Community of the Sisters of Mercy, and as director of neighborhood ministry for the former Unity Health System of St Louis.

A licensed social worker, Sister Mary has served in outreach ministry in Belize, Central America and Trinidad. She holds a master's of business administration in health care from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a master's of social work from Saint Louis University.
