Pat Bober, CSJ
Creating a “second home”
for teens in north St. Louis
For many young people growing up in
north St. Louis city, battling the demons of poverty,
drugs and violence is a daily struggle. As the youth
program coordinator for Sts. Teresa and Bridget Parish,
Sister Pat Bober, CSJ has created a safe haven with
programs for both middle and high school students a
few hours after school each week, providing support
to help them achieve academically, grow in self esteem
and reach positive goals.

Stephanie Turck, CDP
Meeting the Needs of the Day
Sister Stephanie Turck, CDP embodies
the goal of Sisters of Divine Providence founder Bishop
Emmanuel von Ketteler to “meet the needs of the
day.” Depending on the needs of the Congregation,
Sister Stephanie has been a teacher, a speech therapist
and hospital ethicist. Today, she is the volunteer coordinator
for Room at the Inn, a shelter for homeless women and
families in St. Louis County, where she guides members
of nearly 60 partner congregations in their ministries
to the homeless.
